Morrison County families
benefit from
Morrison County Family Connections because they provide
access to free parent education and support that is
delivered via trainings, community education events, support
groups, and parent education groups. Children throughout
Morrison County are offered training in collaboration with
Morrison County schools that focuses on what is abuse, how
to report it and how to ask for help. These activities
increase the reporting of child abuse so that interventions
can be provided to families to keep them happy and safe
together. There are 4 free Circle of Parents support groups
with childcare and meals offered each month. A social media
site on Facebook.com/Morrison-County-Family-Connections is
managed with posting about parenting, activities, and local
events. These activities also support parents so that they
are less likely to experience stress and have ideas of how
to handle challenging child behaviors without turning to
interventions that are abusive or neglectful.
